At MJE, we understand that every volunteer has reasons for joining our organization. We have both short-term and long-term projects that you can get involved in.
Events
MJE special events involve volunteers with promotion, set up, registration, and breakdown. These include:
- Mother’s Corner Code and Senior Code Events
- Empowerment Breaktests
- National Conference
Community
In the community, MJE relies on volunteers to support our outreach work, including:
- Mattapan Neighborhood Trauma Team
- Representing MJE at Peace Walks and special visits
- Tabling and distributing MJE information at resource fairs in the community
Office
Day-to-day volunteers support the work in the office, such as:
- Calls to MJE members to schedule or remind them of appointments
- Assist in the set-up of in-office events
- Administrative tasks such as photocopying
- Bagging for events
