At Mothers for Justice and Equality (MJE), our youth engagement and education programs address the root causes of violence by empowering youth to lead, heal from trauma, and enter the workforce. Through relationship building, civic engagement, and leadership training, we equip youth with the skills and experiences to create positive change.

Our Mission
Our youth empowerment mission is to support young people in their adolescent development and ensure they can experience nurturing, learning spaces, healing tools, and develop their true talents along with the support and resources provided by MJE.
Youth Peer Leadership Program
ME empowers youth through leadership, trauma recovery, and workforce readiness. Our Youth Peer Leadership Program, ages 14-18, inspires and equips young leaders for meaningful community impact through skill-building, community engagement, and educational outreach!
Collaborating with Boston youth programs, we lead peer workshops and STEM sessions at Boston Public Schools. Participants organize community events for peace and unity, strengthening our neighborhoods.
STEM
MJE’s STEM Program supports middle school students by combining service learning with academics in science, technology, engineering, and math, alongside leadership development.
Service Learning is a teaching strategy that empowers youth as they work with community partners, applying academic knowledge and skills to address real problems and needs.
We equip our youth with the skills and knowledge to empower leadership and make positive impacts in their communities!

Second Chance Program
Our Second Chance program is designed specifically for young individuals aged 17-24 who may be navigating challenges such as incarceration, alternative schooling, homelessness, or street involvement.
Workshop Topics Include:
> Gun Violence Prevention
> Workforce Development
> Financial Literacy
> And a range of Other Essential Skills
You’ll also have access to comprehensive case management services to assist in overcoming obstacles and facilitating personal growth. Our dedicated team is committed to supporting your journey towards employment and self-sufficiency.
